Municipality Ban on Plastic Bags and Pan Masala

Chittur-Tattamangalam Municipality decided to impose ban on the use and sale of Plastic Bags and Pan Masala in the municipal area.
Environment activists and groups like EPG (www.ecological-protection.org)has welcomed this positive move from the authorities and called for the strict implementation of this ban.
It remains to be seen, how effectively the ban cab be implemented without adequate public awareness being created.
